AB The goal of the panel was to review the progress in renewable energy securitization, especially for solar energy securitization incorporating solar leases and power purchase agreements (PPAs). The renewable sector needs broad access to capital sources without depending on a handful of tax-equity players whose investment needs change as their tax liabilities change. Renewable energy securitization structures would offer investors an opportunity to participate in a pooled structure and invest in various parts of the capital structure by maturity and risk participation.TOPICS: ESG investing, asset-backed securities (ABS)
